The following information explains the basic requirements and steps to getting
you Full Driving Licence. Please feel free to ask us if you are in any doubt.
Getting your Provisional Licence
Before you can learn to drive you will need to obtian a provisional
driving licence. You can apply for this from the 'Driver
and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The application form (form
D1) can be obtained from your local Post Office.
The Theory test
The Theory Test MUST be passed before you take the
practical exam. It is a multiple choice computer test and there is
also a Hazard Perception test. We will advise on the learning materials
required and you will be given support at every stage. You can book
your theory test through the Driving
Standards Agency (DSA) website.
The Practical Driving Test
The final step in getting your full driving licence is of course to
take the practical test. During the course of your lessons you will
guided through the test procedure so you know what to expect on the
day. We will let you know when we think you are ready for your test.
